WFTA Welfare and Re-homing in action

Tudur, on his way to his new home.

Tudur, on his way to his new home.

We received this update this morning from Louise Beary, our Welfare & Re-homing Co-ordinator.

"Lockdown in Wales, made life a bit more interesting for this old boy... but armed with a WFTA letter of authority and following strict Covid safety guidance, I headed over to get him...

His name is a welsh name - Tudur and he is 13yrs old. Sadly due to the loss of his owner, we needed to help find him another lovely home for his twilight years. Despite his years I am pretty sure he will get up to some wiry mischief as he has plenty of bounce in his step and sparkle in his eyes!

We had the perfect 5* home waiting for him. After a a few hours of travelling from NW Wales, we had a nice stop in Shropshire where he stretched his legs for a couple of hours and made a few friends with other wires, welsh and even a couple of donkeys! We continued on to his new home, where a I finally safely delivered this precious old bear yesterday evening.

On arrival he explored the garden and then took no time in finding “his” spot on the sofa.

I received an update this morning to say he had good night and was snuggled up to his new mum whilst she was emailing me."
