WFTA Grooming Seminar was a great success!

Today the Wire Fox Terrier Association held their Grooming Seminar at Great Alne and Kinwarton Memorial Hall, near Alcester, Warwickshire, a great venue, centrally located. We welcomed 20 enthusiastic owners and professional groomers, of differing skill levels - all of whom wanted to improve their hand stripping skills.

The day started off with a specialist demonstration from our Chairman and Breed Specialist Mr Bill Browne-Cole, who covered many areas of grooming for both pet and show finishes. Hand stripping specialists were then on-hand to assist delegates with stripping their own dogs. After lunch Bill gave another demonstration on grooming a Wire’s head, and after further stripping practice the seminar closed at 4pm.

Jacqueline Straubinger-Bremar was kept very busy at the grooming shop, with the Lonsdale stripping knives being particularly popular. Hot and cold drinks, biscuits and home made cakes were available throughout.

A very enjoyable and successful day!
